Happy Valentines

I have been working on my booth, rearranging my treasures for a Valentine's feel.  I love these heart soaps, I found them on Etsy.com. from soapsensei.   They are so dainty and smell wonderful!

I love birds eggs and these pink ones are so sweet.  I use eggs all the time in my displays, as well as nests and birds.  Oh don't you love the Spring?!

Winter in New York

We are in the middle of a blizzard!  I can't drive on the roads, there are no garage sales and I am unable to reach my storage garage because of the drifts!    Oh woe is me...

What Does The New Year Hold?

As I was digging thru the many unmarked boxes in my basement(oh, I so need to get organized!)I found this vintage pink! radio.  I immediately plugged it in and it worked!!  What memories I have of a similar radio(not pink) sitting on my Aunt Mary and Uncle Larry's kitchen table, constantly chirping the local news and a variety of big band music!  What wonderful memories I have of them!!!

This year I am going to live more simply, just like my Aunt and Uncle did 40 plus years ago.  I will declutter my home, my car, my booth and my mind.  I will take pleasure in all the little things, never let myself be bored, praise God always and love my family and friends with all my heart and soul.  I will create more and complain less, walk the dog every day and always see the beauty in all my children do, no matter what!  I  will live each day to the fullest!

What will you do this year?

Chicks Along The Canal

I am a part of a group of dynamic and creative women who have decided to put together a farm chick like show in upstate New York. We have antique shows in our area, but wanted to create a spectacular show that would "showcase" the talents of local women.

Every year, the city of Little Falls has their Canal Days filled with a variety of activities that include a farmers market, live music, free food, games, and contests. We have been invited to hold ourshow during this time.

Women vendors will showcase their creative talents, to include many items for sale: antiques, homemade goodies, jewelry, painted furniture, whimsical art, shabby chic decor, vintage linens, wonderful junk, handmade treasures, apron fashions, candles and more!

All this on the front lawn of the old mills, surrounded by beautiful gardens, flowing water and live music! I can't wait...kelly

Summer Love

I have always loved the beach, but living in the middle of New York State, I don't get there very often. So to bring a little beach to my house, I love to add starfish and shells to my summer displays.

I love Spring and Summer, new growth, birth and a time for renewed hope. During these seasons, I love to do something different to my home to try and make it more of a sanctuary for myself and my family. I change displays and add lots of hydrangeas, silverplate, ironstone and beach elements.

Come visit Us!

I currently sell my cottage collectibles, vintage treasures and Hand Painted home decor at The Westmoreland Antique Center and The Mustard Seed at Stonemill. The pics below are of my spot at The Westmoreland Antique Center. (http://www.westmorelandantiquecenter.com/)

This desk/vanity started out as a boring piece, but I painted it up and it looks Great! The blue dresser behind it has 3 drawers and old glass handles. It was painted this blue when I found it.

I hand painted daises and lilacs on this pretty blue bed tray.

I love vintage baby items...I painted the roses on the little shoes. Darling!

I sell Sweet Grass Farm lotions and soaps and house hold cleaners at my shops...Lemon Verbena, White Lilac, Herb Blossom and Lavender. If you have never tried them you must...they are all natural and smell wonderful!
Have a safe and wonderful weekend. Blessings, Kelly
