Where has the Summer gone?

Can't believe today is August 5th.  The summer is sure speeding by!  I have been spending many late nights painting, repairing and junking; getting ready for the next 2 weekends.  I have the Washington County Antique Show this weekend, and The Chicks Along the Canal market next! weekend.  And of course, I always wait til the last minute...

This is a piece I am working on for a special order.  The white board is from an old piano.

Another special order piece.  This one will be a sign.  Sorry for the blurry photo!

Another piece I painted for the Washington County Show.

Some recent garage sale finds.  I love old books and mirrors.  And the rosary beads are a very pale green...pretty.
Well, that's all for now.  Lets hope I don't have any misadventures on the way to the show this weekend!  If anyone's stopping by, come see me in building #9, booth 11...

Have a great weekend!     Kelly

Better Late Than Never!

I wanted to share some photos of the Washinton County Antique Show in Greenwich, New York.  It was the on April 30th & May 1.  Better late than never!
This was our(my daughter and I do this show!) 3rd year doing this show, and every year we have been late arriving, there for late to set up.  I hate rushing during set up, it makes me craaazy...  This year all the bridges to the show field were closed due to flooding, so we went on a detour(and got lost!)
But we had a great show and sold tons of stuff...

My booth ...

I did really well selling my hand painted signs and furniture.  I'll have to paint more for the August show!

One of the food vendors has the BEST home made cinammon donuts...I couldn't get enough of them!

Here I am doing some shopping...I found a Fab pink suitcase with Paris lining.  I will use it as my new tool box.

This is my great friend Jody.  She has gorgeous painted furniture...she makes benches from bed and cabinets from windows.  She always has the best stuff in her booth!!!
Jody's booth.  Isn't her stuff cute?!  The next show will be August 6th &  August 7th.  I have never done the August show before, but I think I'll try it this year.  What do you think?  Check out the link to the show website .  Hope to see you there!   http://www.fairgroundshows.com/index.htm

Treasures at The Westmoreland Antique Center

There are some new treasures in my booth at The Westmoreland Antique Center.  These matching white vases are beautiful!

I bought these blue egg soaps from a great gal on Etsy, Jeannie at JKCountryCandles.  I then packaged them myself.  Aren't they cute?

I love these large ornate vintage mirrors. This one I painted creamy white...its not perfect but  ...

I sell alot of products from Sweet Grass Farms in New Hampshire. Organic, Hand Crafted and  reasonably priced.   Love the packaging too!

Cute little Easter chick Peeps... I added a little glitter...always need some extra glitter!!!

I purchased this bench from my good friend Jody from Bountiful. She makes these benches from old, unwanted beds. This one is a blue/grey color...Very Sweet! (Unfortunately, by the time I posted this, the bench had sold!!)

I have a bowl full of these nests for sale. I love the little feathers...

Anything special you're looking for?  Maybe you can find it at the Westmoreland Antique Center.  Come and see us if you are in the area!

Washington County Antiques & Collectibles Market

Spring has finally sprung! The weather in upstate New York is getting warmer, dryer and sunny! Something about a sunny day gives me oodles of energy....

I will be selling my wares at the Washinton County Show in Greenwich, New York. (Not to confuse it with Greenwich Village in New York City). This show is North of Albany in central New York State.
The dates are Saturday April 30th 8AM-6PM and Sunday May 1st 9AM-4PM. I will be set up in pavillion #9 booth 11. My friend Jody from Bountiful will also be there. We both will have painted furniture and lots of cool goodies.

This is a super spring show, great stuff, good prices, tons of delicious food and real bathrooms! Check out the website for more info!

I have been painting some treasures for the show...but there is always so much more to do.

Finding My Muse

I think I must  be part bear.   I gain weight during the holiday season and then all I want to do is sleep through the rest of winter. (I would too if my family would let me!). I definitely lose my energy and creativity during the snow filled, dark, cold winter months!
I really need to get my brushes out and start painting, so ...I bought a bouquet of fresh flowers .... took some nifty photos....hoping to find my muse.

Now its time to start creating!!  Kelly
